Finally. . . I have reunited my panther parts with the model. It only took a year long wait and a trip across America

Zimmerit from cavalier.


Had to beef up the tow shackle brackets rack with some styrene.


The original builder had painter the engine. No point in stripping, as it will be covered.


Nothing like free PE!

I love that little MG kit... that was sweet.
I'd be interested in how well those tracks go together, I've never built and Italeri kit before.
I've knocked together a couple of Trumpeter KVs that had tracks like those ones and they were a little fiddly but turned out OK.

I like that zimmerit though... it loolks like it when on really well.

The resin zimmerit did go on pretty well. Had a few gaps to fill and a little trimming on the edges. I guess I learned about not using too much 5min. epoxy when applying the sheets. Can get a little messy on the edges!

In the end it's zimmerit though and it was never perfectly applied, makes it easy to hide our booboos.
It also looks more alive.

Great build so far man!!! The zimmerit is a nice addition and should give the kit quite a nice look.

The workbench is being cleared. . . I decided to toss the vinyl tracks aside and get myself some magic tracks! My local hobby shop had a clearance sale. The price was good. . . So, I will spend a little time here and there cleaning the links up. While I'm on a role, I might as well look for a turned barrel to add to this aftermarket decorated Panther.

Nothing Like a little Coke and Canada's finest to help pass the time.

I'm more of a Gordon Lightfoot Dude... but Rush will do in a pinch.
It's nice that your LHS even sells tracks, let alone Magic Tracks.
Not so lucky here. Actually mine carries a grand total of zero AM supplies. haha.

Got a little Lightfoot in my itunes. Canada has produced some great musicians. That's a bummer about your local hobby shop. I could always keep a lookout for something you need. I mean, 1/2 price off retail value on PE and Resin is hard to find. Just a thought.

Hey Russ, I commented on your Youtube vid yesterday after coming across this project. I decided to join here as another resource. You can never have too many, ya know...

Great start on the Panther. You'll have a lot of fun bringing it up to speed, so to speak. Again, if you're interested, I just finished the same model myself. There is really no limit to how far you can go with the upgrading. I went far enough that I wish I had a done a little more. Funny how that works.
