Just wondering what kind of hobby knife you recommend

I like OLFA's AK-4 hobby knives, though I wish they were a bit heavier and better balanced. OLFA blades are the best! I also use Xacto's sharpest Z-Series blades in various compatable holders. I find scalpals just don't have a comfortable grip shape, though the blades are nice.

Some of Tamiya's knives are actually made by OLFA, so for sure they'll be good too.

I use the OLFA with the small blade. I have other blades on other handles for oddball jobs, but 99.5% of my work is done with the small blade. The smaller the blade the less damage I can do to myself. The idea of using a blade that's actually designed to cut into flesh...{shudders}, I'll pass.

I think it doesn't matter if the blade is "flesh designed" or not. If you slip and put the thing through a finger the result will be the same! I know from personal experience

The hunt for the perfect knife goes on for me , after using all the p!asters up in the house I now use a Stanley knife , I recently. bought a cheap knife in a box with various b!ades wish I didn't. bother the. blades are useless can't even. cut paper !!!!

i use the swann morton no 3 handle and no 10 blade but its all down to personal preference
