Hi

I used to model a lot when i was younger in fact when i was a teenager back in the 70s remember buying my first Airfix kit in a plastic bag! My parents then got me a set consisting of a Saturn IV rocket, Lunar landing module and a Sea king helicopter they thought it was apt since we watched the moon landings. I forget the models I have made but the ones that stick out are Black Widow, Spitfire, 109, Vosper Patrol Boat, Angel(from captain scarlet), 88mm anti tank gun, and the biggest a Tamiya USS Enterprise(the aircraft carrier not the starship).

I have got back into modeling as my daughter bought me a 1/24 scale Hurricane(Airfix) for Christmas enjoyed building it so here i am hoping to pick a few tips.

Great to have more of us 40 & 50 somethings returning to the hobby. It's truly different to the tube glue & humbrol enamel ways of the 70's , although you can still go that route if you want!
