Pls Help - Spitting Paint

Guys,

I'm using the following:

Tamiya paint
HPC Plus 0.35
Iwata smart jet pro
Ultimate Thinner

Mixed 50/50
PSI: 21

These setting have worked great for me up until a couple of days ago.Now it just spits - when I pull back the trigger I just get flecks of paint.

I have to now thin the paint to 10 parts Ultimate 7 parts paint and below to get it to spray without spitting - this happens with different colours.

Any ideas as to the reason - the temp in my house has gone down a bit but it's not such a huge difference.

I'm not an expert by any means, but I would start with a full strip-down cleaning on the brush. Check your bits for cracks and needle for bends while you're doing that.

Reassemble and try again. Your mix and PSI seem right (50/50).

Also double check your process (like the doctors in surgery!) and make sure you're not forgetting something--like "air on, paint on, paint off, air off" and double check that your airbrush cleaner isn't being mistaken for the thinner, etc. to make sure you rule out external factors.

don't forget the nozzle, paint builds up inside

Use a powerful magnifier and look at your nozzle real good. If you even suspect a crack replace it. Check it to be sure that it is clean inside as well. You can take an old needle and run the tip along the inside of the nozzle and push out any old dried gunk that's stuck inside. Use that magnifier again to look at your needle. Replace if bent. I agree with the previous writer; do a full strip down of your brush and clean first before doing anything else.
