New modeler from Atlanta Metro

Post by Fright »

I'm fairly new at modeling. I inherited Revell's 1:72 scale Gato submarine from father-in-law who served aboard 3 US submarines but passed away before he opened the kit. I decide to build it in his honor and worked on it for about 2 years on and off. I learned a lot about submarines, the crews and model building. I tried my hand at weathering her and I was pleased with the results. I added CMK Gato Crew and used 0.11 guitar strings for railings.
I got hooked. I just finished with Trumpeters 1:350 scale SS Jeremiah O'Brien Liberty Ship. I tried my hand using Larsenal PE kit and weathering.
I am about ready to tackle Revell's 1:96 scale USS Constitution. I plan to take quite a bit of time and hope that when it comes time to rig her, I won't go out of my mind! :hi:
