Hi,

I bought me this oldie couple off days ago for a few euro's.
Image
It's a Yokosuka K5Y1, aka type 93 trainer, aka "Willow".
Never heard off the brand or the type off plane, so I thought it would be interesting to build this and along learn something new about ww2 planes.
It's an oldie but doesn't look to bad. Lots off detail and not to much flash.

Started to look on the internet for some info about this plane, but can't seem to find much info or pics. Need some info on colours, specially the inside, because the outside is going to be, well... orange I guess.. :nena:

Can anyone direct me to some info on this one, or at least provide me with some ww2 Japanese standard colours?
I want to add the pilots so also some info on the colour off flightsuits would be great.
Also some pics would be highly welcomed, so I can see where maybe some detail needs to be added.

Thanks a mil

Hi , I checked for the Willow and found this :

http://www.j-aircraft.com/faq/K5Y.htm

also this :

http://www.daveswarbirds.com/Nippon/aircraft/Willow.htm

now This link bellow has images of the last it seems Willow that survived in Indonesia and has some photos of the interior :

http://www.vintage-aerodrome.com/images/RC-26JP.pdf

seems interior green with the floor in wood and instruments black , check that pdf file it is very nice about the plane you want to build !

:cheers2:

Wow, I really spend a lot off hours trying to find something, nothing but some vague black and whites.
Then you come up with this.:

Thank you very much, this is a great help.
