I read a post on Facebook about someone looking for a C21 aka Dragon Assault Ship from Fantastic Plastic. Out of curiousity I started to do some research about it. I knew it was from the movie Avatar, but that was about it. I found out it was an OOP and rarity was medium. To make a long story short, I sent an email to Fantastic Plastic asking them if they were going to put it back into production. Their answer was, depending on how many ask. This is also true with any of their OOP models they have on their website. So if you have a certain model you want to see them return to production, have a lot of your friends send them an email asking for it to be put back into production. True, collectors might not be happy as their kits might go down in price, but that is the chance you take.

As I see modeling (and other things as well) as a hobby, the whole 'collector' lot can go toodle off and soak their heads in quick lime. It has made the costs of the hobby insane. I will send off an email in a bit!

I always keep a close eye on what Fantastic Plastic release (I'm on their email list) and adopt a buy-it-now approach when they release a kit I like (looking forward to their Northrop HL-10 (1966) Experimental Lifting Body due sometime this year).
They also sometimes run polls asking you to vote on what you would like them to make. I really like their stuff and my last kit of theirs (Soviet LK Lunar Lander) was a joy to build.

I had never heard about them, I must lead a sheltered life, until the post about the C21. After looking at their kits, when I get everything caught up, I will probably buy one. Akula 1959, I do agree with you. Look at the one Dragon Tiger kit that lists on ebay USA for $150.00 plus $50.00 shipping. Out of my price range.

Yes I have only bought second hand dragon kits lately for reasons of cost and lack of goodies (magic tracks). Been able to buy kits for $30 aud including a tiger...6406. A reasonable kit with some goodies, it had ds track ,but packaged in a protective box. Wtf they have done is before why can't they do it now !
