Restoring raised panel lines

My present build is an old airfix kit with the dreaded raised panel lines, some of which have been removed due to sanding seam lines. A quick method of restoration, two thin strips of masking tape placed down marking the panel line, leaving 0.5mm gap between strips. Fill the 0.5mm gap with Plastic putty, remove the excess so that it's the same thickness as the masking tape. Leave it for a few hours to dry, and carefully remove the tape, one restored panel line.

Another tip to restore raised detail that is a difficult shape , - using fine copper wire, mold into the required shape, and stick with super glue. My current build had a hatch down the centre of the seam line, which was unavoidably sanded down. I worked the fine wire into the shape of the hatch and attached it to the fuselage with cyno. I then replaced the raised rivets to the hatch by dabbing plastic filler with a cocktail stick.
