My egg plane via e-bay.

This must be an old kit.
Image
The decals are a bit yellow, but I will give them a go. :eeek:
Image
I am trying to make colour tone changes on the kit by spraying some areas Tamiya XF-53 Neutral Grey.
Image
I also spray some parts white.

Main parts together including decal in cockpit and seat belts and joystick.

Canopy masked and mounted, wheels painted and shock cones added.

Disaster strikes. While spraying a gloss coat after the black was sprayed, I forgot to put the paint cup cap on and I emptied the contents on my model. :eeek:

So after letting it dry, I sanded down the spoilt paint work then resprayed it black. Gave it another coat of gloss and tried to add the old discoloured decals. They had to be soaked for 10 minutes and gently massaged off the backing paper. I had only one breakage.

Next I mixed Citadel paints to try to make a black/gold paint for the exhausts.

The masking tape was removed and wheels added.

Exhaust nozzles on, that's JOB DONE.
