Some pictures taken recently. I'm planning a Corsair build later this year and I know there are a couple going on in the forum at the moment. Hope this is of some use.

Thank you for posting! Reference pictures are always nice. I think the Royal Navy over-weathered the aircraft....it doesn't look realistic.

Stupid question, but I assume thats the original paint, untouched since the end of the war - very unusual when most museum aircraft are painted fresh and then given solid gloss clear coat to protect the finish....

There is a book out about the restoration of this Corsair. The Time Capsule Fighter by David Morris published by Sutton.

This is the stripped back original 1944 paint. The aircraft was used as an in instructional airframe at Cranfield up until the 60s.
