1/48 dirama "Need a lift Comrade"

I have used the Eduard profipack i16 and the Tamiya cargo truck in this dio.

The figures on the truck are Tamiya and the officer and pilot are Eduard.

I used Tamiya and Vallejo paints and Mig pigments.

The base is scratch built using DAS clay and static grass.

Wow, what a great diorama
It tells a story and has such realism to it.
I love the tired looking bunch in the back of the truck and the bent propeller blades.
The attention to detail with the grass, bare patch from the slide and the truck tracks add a great touch as well.

Great dio, there's a lot going on there. Figure painting is excellent. Top job all round.

fantastic dio, those figures are incredible. what paints do you use for the flesh tones?

Good idea but more thought about how the grass was laid down, and more colouring in the grass than looks like in just came out of the bag.

For the base coat I use Coat d'arms dwarf flesh. I then use Vallejo flesh wash. I then dry brush with a lighter shade of dwarf flesh which I achieve by adding some white. I finish off with a very thin wash of Tamiya rubber black around the beard area.

The static grass is a mixture of green colours and lenghs and comes from several bags.

i wanted to create the feel of a grass park in Summer which does tend to have a uniform green colour with subtle hints of different coloured green but not to stark as this makes it toy like.

I have experimented quite a lot with shades of green with static grass and I feel I have achieved a good Summer mix.

No doubt the colour would vary according to the seasons of the year.
