Which is your favourite kit company just wondered

Well I hope to see a lot of response here. As I am just getting back in to the swing of things, I could use some guidance. Oh and my pick right now is Tamiya but I only have one other kit and its Ban DAI it looks great and I have heard for what it's worth the Ban DAI star wars kits are amazing. The Gundam kits have really great engineering. Thanks for the great topic!

would love to see break down. I believe aircraft are No 1 and afv's No 2 generally.

I am much more subject driven first, then manufacturer as secondary decision. Jump to Tamiya as easy decision, but would buy an Meng dozer in a heartbeat.

Bandai does mostly sci-fi, so of you only do armor or real world planes you won't often run into them.

i couldnt possibly vote as i buy a kit based on reviews and feedback from others. even big names like tamiya / hasegawa make duds imo. so its unfair to judge by name alone. personally i will research and see who makes the subject vehicle im interested in best.

I love the Tamiya 1/32 series. They are incredibly stunning. All great looking models. But Meritis another one pushing a larger series. Merit's dauntless for instance is incredibly detailed but it is 1/18 scale.
Of the ones asked about though Tamiya is far and away my favorite.

That's a very subjective question? I like the manufacturer that makes what I want to buy
Coming from a real-space modelling background the kits I sought weren't made by mainstream manufacturers so in that respect none on your list are my favourite, but since finding a love of 1/35 AFV id have to say...sorry, can't choose, they're all great.
It reminds me that we're fortunate enough to live in a time where most kits from any manufacturer are just different degrees of brilliant (within their respective price bands).

It really is as you say, quality in general is better across the board from what I remember years ago, and each manufacturer has their own strengths.

After building numerous Revell and Hasegawa kits, I've started building some Tamiya kits, it's been a refreshing change building something that fits together without any problems.

So Tamiya gets my vote

Glad to see dragon isnt the top after building dragon from the get go after building a meng kit knocks spots off them and you get more and the instructions are better and the way there tracks fit together is a dream...so im guessing you know where my vote goes

I voted trumpeter simply because of their russian armour, however for me the choice comes down to subject, dragon, tamiya, meng, airfix, afv club, eduard and hobbyboss all get into my list.

I like the range in tamiya but want two kits from AFV as I can find another company that do CVR(T) scimitar,scorpion or spartan the vehicles I worked on while in the 9/12 Royal Lancers

I really want to get my hands in that B-17. I think that would be an awesome build. I haven't seen the B-25 yet but I will be looking now. I am going to have to make room for these in my collection somewhere.
