Well, I'll have to call this one done in terms of the actual aircraft model. I am in the midst of finishing my in flight display, which I have mixed feelings about and may change (you'll see it below in raw MDF). It was my first GB and I wanted to come in 100% done on time and each time I look at it I think, "hmmm, I could change this or do that" but for all intents and purposes I'm done. Took me about the entire length of this GB to complete. I'm rather slow generally but having a date to be finished by turned this in to a record setting build time for me

Heres a really quick photoshop I did last night just to see what I could achieve, compositing my finished builds in to a background is a goal of mine, higher quality photos and good lighting I think will take that much further than this. This made me realize some of the details that are oversized, primarily the static dischargers on the wing tips if I were to do this one over I'd just remove all together.

On the not so polished base, I'll upload new photos later with it done.

Belly of the Beast! I have reference that had the tanks battered and some that looked in a better state than the aircraft, I went with the latter for contrast but they may need some grime.

So thats it for now! These are just iPhone photos. I need to check out photo setups and work out something for better photos. I hope these give you a good of my contribution. My build thread is here; http://www.intscalemodeller.com/viewtop ... 50&t=15959

I'd have painted the "star base" red, apart from that you've done a wonderful job :th:

Super job, I might have to buy this kit having seen your build.

You've read my mind! I have painted it red but I'll be away from the house today, at an Airshow of all places, and as of last night it wasn't dry enough to handle yet.

Its a nice enough kit, I tried to outline some of the engineering flaws in my build thread, but the detail is good but it has a few places that are challenging.

Ok, a little late.. I had forgotten I have never posted a photo of my finished, finished product. Base painted up, some of the points on the star weren't pristine so they look a little poor painted. If I had access to wood working tools I would love to make bases like this in pine, this one is MDF and from Hobby Lobby.
