Kit recommendation....

Hi all just about finished a 1:48 Eduard spitfire and would like to do a 1:48 c47 next can anyone recommend a good kit.

Dang that is going to be a big bugger.. I would suggest going to www.scalemates.com and type C47 into the search box. You can refine the search on the next screen by either selecting scale, manufacturer ect. ect. it even has links to affiliate retailers so yo can also check prices. Its like the one stop shop website for all model kits.

Thanks for the reply's didn't think about size in 1:48 to be honest anyone have any experience with the 1:72 airfix?

With Airfix its all about the age of the kit. Because of their re-launch several years ago there's been a raft of new kits. These new kits are light years ahead of their old stuff and that goes for 1/72 scale too.

Their new tool releases such as the Lancaster and Dakota are very good. I think they do a Dakota with an airborne jeep too, that looks tasty as well. There's a B17 on the way too along with recent releases such as a Harrier for example. They're not as finely detailed as Eduard but they're a joy to make and are superb pricewise.
Its been tried and tested, it works! So don't blame the system if you're no good. :doh:
