Can any one tell me is there a way that is useful to make Ca glue less brittle......will the addition of micro balloons filler help at all.
I know the addition of fibre glass will do this, but it is not useful to have those fibres sticking up. It's a sanding nightmare.

I don't have any specific advice, but maybe you could tell us a little more about the specific issue you are having and why the CA isn't holding up?

Correct me if I'm wrong mate, but it sounds like you are using the CA as a filler here.

If this is the case adding Backing Soda to the ca will make it into a better filling material. I work with a lot of composites at work and even micro balloons are hard to sand when they are set in something like epoxy resin.

It is me being clumsy. I always seem to manage to knock a bit of pe off and I thought if it is possible to make it a little less brittle then the bits might be a little more fore giving and I wouldn't have to go hunting for the piece I knocked off.

Okey Digger here's a left field answer to your dilemma of brittle CA for sticking down PE.

I am also quite accident prone. I have switched to using thinned PVA to the real "danger" areas and it's all staying in place thus far. Either I'm getting less accident prone (knock on wood) or the PVA is more flexible and forgiving

In the past I also found that old CA was worse than fresh bottle stuff. Been storing my opened CA in the fridge and it does tend to last longer now than it did before.
