Here is what I am working on at the moment. This is DML's Pak 43/3 kit. Besides being a cool late war expedient type mount, I wanted to do a really cool paint scheme on this. Since this gun was origanaly used in the Jadgpanther there are several photos of units that appear to have been pulled directly from the tank and placed on either pedistal or mobil mounts. Therefore this one will have the base in red oxide primer, the gun in Creamweiss interior color, and the mantlet and muzzle break in tri-color camo, and just for that little extra, the barrel itself will be in grey high heat primer indicating the barrel was replaced at the time the gun was placced on its new mount.

The base built up and painted with a mix of Tamyia red brown and red for the prier color, and a little modulation added.

This is the gun mocked up to see how it looks. The base has been weathered, though it really does not show up well in these pics (still working on and adjusting my new photo setup). The gun has had a wash and chipping applied, still much to do though as I have a couple of more steps to go through with the chipping that will bring them to life, and the mantlet and barrel have no effects applied to them at all yet, just painted those up the other night.

That looks awesome Scruff!
I like the micro camo on the mallet.

haha to bad that you can't just leave her like that eh?
It's quite striking by itself.

Thank you Coen, still tons to do to this yet though! Hopefully it will all tie together nicely when it is all done and added to a base (which I need to start). But close enough to being done to start thinking about the next project :)

Dude that is awesome! I do love artillery and big guns, so I might have to in the future pick up some 1/35 arty bits for small dioramas.

Lovely work!

Nice work, it brings back memories for me, I had the Tamiya 88mm Anti tank gun and crew as a teenager. Didn't look anywhere near that good though lol

Nope, 1/35th, built out of box.

Well, those are "mini" Tamyia's, they are about the 1/3 the size of regular Tamyia paint bottles I think. I'll have to remember that though, include them in photos if I want something to look super sized :D :thumb1:

Coming along very nicely. One have to admit, these guns exude fear and strength ... one look is enough to know it is powerful
