Hi, which is the best way to achieve this could I just spray normal gunmetal then Matt coat it?

Any ideas would be a help

Think a black base, gunmetal metallic and flat coat would be my best option guesstimate mate. A Mr. Hobby buffable could also be an option..

As always happy modeling and keep sticking styrene.

Tamiya have a paint XF-84 - Dark Iron.

It is basically their X-10 (Gun Metal) in a matte finish.

It is the best for making having a flat gun metal look:

The guns on this kit were painted using XF-84



Here as well the undercarriage is painted using XF-84
