My own fault for not using the airbrush paint cup lid
Whilst airbrushing my Barkas Build Stug III I stopped paying attention to the airbrush paint cup orientation and dripped paint straight onto the model. Although I quickly blew off the excess paint it's left a horrible mess.
The paint is Tamiya acrylic on top of Ultimate grey primer and I was wondering (hoping) if a Ultimate buffer might be enough to rescue it (when the paints fully cured) because I really don't want to strip off all the paint and start again.

you could try using a bit of thinner or airbrush cleaner on a cotton bud to remove the paint in that area and then touch it up.

Personally, I would opt for trying the Thinny Sponge followed by a grey side of the black sander before using the green side of the Buffer If they are true spills the material to be removed could be a bit much for the buffer alone.

Windex (Windolene) will take the Tamiya paint off and leave the Ultimate/Stynelrez primer.

A BIG Thank You for that Absolutly no effort needed, just paint it on, gently agitate it and watch the paint vanish. Finally rinse in water and I was left with a completely undamaged Ultimate Primer undercoat

Windex with ammonia isn't easily available in the UK but I recently got a bottle to try out the Windex chipping/weathering shown in Michael Rinaldi's new books, and I now know to make sure to get the dilution right when I do

Glad to help. Sanding would never really do the job right, the best way is just take the whole layer off and start fresh, probably faster too.

Make sure ALL the cleaner is off before painting again, drown it in water a couple of times to be sure, since you've seen what it does on top of the paint we can imagine what it would do from under the new paint.
