It's been a while since I've posted something on the forum. I use to build helicopters only but few month ago I've joined the "dark side".
Here one of my last build. The kit is great, really well engineered, it goes together without problems at all.
The only thing that I've decided to change were the tracks: I went for the Friulmodels metal tracks and in my humble opinion they make the difference.
The antennas are made with two plastic broom bristles.
Stynylrez primer and Tamiya paints, first time I've used the Panzer Putty to help me with the camouflage scheme. It made my life easy and I'm happy with the result.
First time I've used oil paints for the weathering, really enjoy it and I think oil paints will become an important part of all my future weathering works.

It's a superb model with nice edges of camouflage, I really like then. Now I want to try panzer putty too in order to get the same result.
I have got too soft edges with blue tak, don't like them. Thank you for your hint.

I've used blue tack for the same job but I've always find it too hard to manipulate and too sticky and difficult to clean up. Panzer Putty (or similar products) is self levelling (don't worry to much to press it down around edges or bumps, it level itself around them) and really easy to clean.
Only down side it like to stick to itself quite a lot

How much of this putty did you use for masking your AMX tank? Was one package enough?

Just a little amount. One tin is forever I think. You use it, you spray on it, you put it back in the tin when you done and it absorb the paint...it's kind of never ending product.

There are so many on the market:Magic Putty, Silly Putty, Incredible Masking Putty, Intelligent Putty, Bionic Putty, Mr. Hyde Putty...they are the same thing.
I went for the Panzer Putty one because it was the first I've found.

As I know, Mig Putty is just the repack of Panzer Putty. Thank you for the detailed answer.
