Apertures in hull T34 Tank

I am still busy with the T 34 and arrived at a problem in which I require some help. The hull requires apertures square and rectangular which vary in size fro 2 mm to 4mm. I tried to reamer one with a drill but it was a bit of a mess. My square needle file's point is the same size as the aperture. Are there smaller files that can be used or is there another method I can try. Please help. Thank you. Sandy29

just throwing this untested idea into the ring. How about lightly heating the file and gently pushing it through. obviously have to be careful not to overheat the file and causing the plastic to collapse.

digger303 An excellent idea, may be a bit old stock brass or copper. The square file has a bit of a taper. Thank you very much for the help sandy29
