Acrylic matt varnish

Post by Avgas »

What's the consensus on the best acrylic matt varnish? I'm using Alclad at the moment but it's the only non acrylic stuff I use, so thought when it ran out I would move to an acrylic.

I have used Vallejo matt varnish a few times. It worked well.

I've used it myself in the past, I thought it dried a bit tacky but that may have been me overspraying it.

I use Revell glossy, semiglossy and matt varnishes. they work okay for the most time, but they are certainly not the greatest thing. for tank models they are alright for sure.

AK Ultra Matte here. No issues spraying and works well.

Vallejo premium matt here, only need to spray on enough for the shine to disappear not actually coat the model, pretty much a dusting is all that's needed.
John, whats on my bench? Usually a mess and a couple of different models a week.
My motto? I'm not lazy, just energy efficient.
