As the original 13 part series was the reason I took the step from just building cars to doing planes as well I thought I would join in and build some thing this time around as well. My plan is to do the new corrected 190 G6 from Eduard. I still have a small box from Hannants and one from Eduard coming with one or two extras for the build. Hopefully they will arrive soon.

So now I have all the extra stuff for the build. Resin exhaust, prop, cannon pods, radio compartment, wheels and control stick, turned brass gun barrels, extra PE and textile belts. Should be a fun build when it gets started.

Got the cockpit build today, not too many parts and the fit is just perfect. Only tricky thing was the rudder pedals, they are really delicate and easy to damage. Added a resin control stick from Quickboost, it adds some details and will look more interesting then the kit one after applying a wash. The rest is just from the box. There is still some colored PE to add as well as a fuel line that will be added after painting.









Next up is building and painting the exhaust and radio compartment, painting the cockpit and putting the fuselage halves together.

Look at all that stuff...

Made a little bit of progress, fitting the resin radio compartment. The resin bits are beautiful, and the fit is awesome! the side panels almost don't even need any glue to stay in place. The downside is that it's really hard to see inside, I'm going to try to get a small diode in there to get some light to make it a little bit easier to see.

Loving the look of that Paul. I think I am going to have to get one of those too.

Have done most of the painting on the cockpit. I used the MR Paints RLM 02 and 66, I really like these paints, they spray easy and give a great finish. After the main colors where on I dry brushed lighter versions on all the parts, as well as dry brushing the radio equipment in light grey. And finally added all the PE and the fabric belts. The belts are a bit fiddly to put together but I think the results are worth it. I found that sticking a bit of tape the sticky side up to the workbench and then sticking the fabric part to it helped a lot with the assembly. Next up is to do the weathering.

Got the cockpit pretty much done on this now. Started the weathering by adding a bit of chipping using a sponge. I then added a couple of of earth colored pigments to the lower half of the sides and the floor. Next up is to glue the fuselage together,
