Afv club Centurion Mk 5 w/dozer

Sorry guys forgot the build pics but here is my latest project finished and awaiting paint, the build has been a bit tricky due to, what I now know is an afv club trait of having tiny awkward pieces on the sprue that break when you remove them :wall: but I'm pleased with the progress so far

Thanks for reposting these Russ.
She's fantastic. I love the detail on the dozer blade. It looks like machine marks or marks left by a press... either way, it looks just like the one that was parked in my yard a month ago.

The dozer with a blade.. not a tank.
Though I wish.

Great build so far!!! AFV Club's kits seem to always be a pain to assemble but are always worth it in the end. Good luck and I'll be following this thread closely.

Russ, I've seen this kit so many times at my local hobby store. It's overpriced, but I do believe that I'll be buying it soon cause of this thread. Hahaha if I didn't know any better I'd think you two were in cahoots. lol

Russ, I heard you mention you are going plain British Army Green on this, have you thought about a Berlin Brigade colour scheme? It was Centurions they used was it not?

Berlin brigade cam is so cool looking! Do it Russ, do it! Although I've heard it's a bit of a bugger to do.

Ha ah I'd love to do the centurion like that but as far as I'm aware I've never seen them painted with that scheme, the chieftain definitely (as seen in coens pic) I have another chieftain in my stash and my plan is to do the Berlin armoured squadron urban cam on that one :eeek:

Ah I couldn't remember if it was Chieftains or Centurions used by the BB. Bloody British and their tank naming nomenclature!

Cruiser, Crusader, Cavalier, Centaur, Charioteer, Churchill, Cromwell, Challenger, Comet, Conqueror, Centurion, Chieftain, Challenger 1, Challenger 2.....

You see the problem.... lol

Just a few pre decal and weathering shots, looks a little bit bland at the moment but hopefully work some magic with the dot filtering and pin washes :pistols:

if by ending up like you, means I produce work of your quality then bring it on, if however your videos are shot in a decrepit rv parked in a run down camp site surrounded by trailer trash then I take your point :bash:

Really really nice - but then I expected nothing other than superb from you Russ :D. Love the suttle way you have done the paint scheme and weathering.

You have certainly become a master at doing diorama bases

Nice one russ, she looks great mate. Im really looking forward to building my 1/25 centurion. And your right defo the start of good looking tanks for the british, that and the chieftain being two of my favourites.

Look out in next months news show as im lucky to not live too far away from where the centurion was made in leyland, and they have one on display there next to the road. So next time i go to transport models in preston ill stop off and get a video of it.

Just had a brief look mate and I'd have to say no : it seems to be off the mark in a lot of ways and not sure how much after market you'd have to buy, still nice model though
