Greetings all

Does anyone know of any kits out there for the Apollo launch tower and transport crawler. The only ones I have been able to find are heavy paper kits which drove me insane to the point I abandoned them. I would love to make an LUT for a 1/144 Saturn V to snuggle up against but as far as I can tell there's nothing out there.

If your pockets are deep enough THIS is up for pre-order by LVM Studios. It's going to be available in 1:144, 1:72 and 1:96.
I've seen their Soyuz lunch pad and its spectacular.

Holy Moly, that is a serious amount of wedge! The website is a bit short on detail so impossible to tell on quality. Still, as you say, you've seen the Soyuz pad...

The Soyuz Pad won Best In Show at Scale Model World, Talford 2015 (see HERE) but if you're not a Photo Etch addict stay well clear

I think the price alone rules me out. On a comparison basis is it worth the pleasure I could get from all the other kits I could buy for £800? Probably not.

Oh well, maybe the 2019 anniversary of the landings will see something come out. One can only hope.

Welcome to my world, the world of the Real Space modeller. It's such a niche market the kits are often horribly expensive or not available at all.
3D printing is beginning to offer access to previously unavailable stuff, for example, two new beautiful models of the Lunar Module with full interior and Lunar Rover have become available that I would love to own, but each will cost well North of £1K to buy from Shapeways so well out of my reach for the time being.

Now those look like cool kits, one (or 2) ideas for the future I think
