Need Help Identifying a Part

Post by d6mst0 »

I am working on the Dragon 1/350 Scharnhorst 1943 kit and one of the steps doesn't identify the Sprue or part number. I am hoping that someone here made have built this kit and would be able to identify it.

The part (which appears to be a platform) fits on the backside on a armor rangefinder housing in step 9. The wall on the housing has a notch in it to fit the platform, but so far I am unable to find one that fits the notch.

This is fourth item in this build that I found that isn't identified in the instructions. I been lucky on the first three.

Any help would be most greatly appreciated. Marcus

haven't built or even seen it. However it looks to me to not be a platform, but the piece that it sits inside and allows it to rotate.
Not seeing all the pieces means I most likely have the wrong end of that long stick...sorry best I can do

Looks to me not a part as it would have a number, but the housing sits over the base. But I could be wrong :

Thank you for the links. Their is a very good picture of the housing showing the platform. I think I should be able to figure out which one it is on the sprue. Again Thank You.
