Adding to my Sherman stable

I just finished the initial builds on these two Shermans. A late model M4A3 and a mid-production M4A1. I need to replace the star on the deck of the M4A1 (too small). Still need detail painting and weathering and light lenses added. Both are Tasca/Asuka kits.

Thanks. A big fan of Tasca/Asuka kits, although they can be hard to find and kind of pricey.

Very nice. On the first one, the M4A3, I thought the 76 had a muzzle break. I'm a Sherman novice so please forgive my ignorance.

Superb builds by the way.

Thanks, I will be checking that one out. I've got one the original M32' but the maintenance company could always use another one

Thanks for the compliment. Some 76mm equipped A3' did have a muzzle brake but was more common on the E8 series. The larger diameter end of the barrel represents the thread protector on this version of the 76. Some were also just plain unthreaded tubes. One of the reasons I love Sherman tanks; so many variations that can be done.

Cool, thanks for the info. I have the Italeri E8 Fury in my stash so this is a great topic for me.

Really fantastic builds, I like the Tasca tanks, I think there the best Sherman kits, just like I think dragon makes the best German kits. But I also think that Tamiya has the best engineered kits, but that's just me, but right now your killing it with those tanks. Again Great builds. :th:

Thank you. Also working on this Asuka/Tasca M4A3E8. The tracks are just temps while I figure the best to assemble these Kaizen tracks :wall:

Blimey, the temp tracks look good but the other ones look like they'd drive you crazy  .....lots of food for the carpet monster if I was doing them
