Thank you Ivan, Hopefully I can do a good job and it does turn out nice. Doing something a bit different can be a bit daunting but you never know till you try.

Started off with the engine.

All the parts clean up easy and fit with no problems. There are a few more parts that need fitting. I will fit these after painting and the engine is fitted in place on the chassis.
The engine was painted with Ultimate black primer mixed with the grey to give a dark grey base. The radiator will be painted satin black and the fan a lighter grey. Also some parts need painting in different colours which I will do by hand before a clear coat and some weathering.

Got some of the different parts picked out mainly using Vallejo model colour and Vallejo metal colour satin aluminium. There are a few decals to be added and then I will give this a coat of satin varnish before doing some weathering.

Now I have got a few things out of the way I will be getting some more progress on this. Made a start yesterday with applying the decals to the engine.

This is now ready for a clear coat and then some weathering. I can then get this fitted in place on the chassis.

The engine was dry brushed with Vallejo model colour dark grey and then given a wash with some Mig ammo engine grime. I also airbrushed some dust effects wash from the underside.
The engine will get a bit of further weathering when it's in place on the chassis as there are still a few parts to be fitted when it's in place.
The first parts of the chassis cleaned up ready for assembly.
All the parts fitted together with no problems the instructions call for the tanks to be painted silver and could be added after but all the ones I have seen the tanks are all painted the same colour as the chassis so I have added them all now.
The rear axle in place
More parts to the rear added
The rear mud guards built up ready for painting. I will add the lights after painting.
The fuel tank. This is in two halves and fits together ok and is fairly easy to clean up the seams.
Some more parts all cleaned up and ready to be fitted. Some of these will be painted separately as they require the engine to be fitted in place to fit or are a different colour to the chassis.
