has anyone had this (or similar) completely block up their airbrush? I've given a thorough clean with acrylic airbrush cleaner and straight IPA and still no good. Has anyone got some secret recipes or method to really whack it?

Ah, the amazing vallejo primer. Yes, sometimes it can gum up an airbrush pretty good! I found denatured alcohol (methylated spirits) work fine for this.

Yup, one of the downsides of vallejo primer is its superior gunkupability. When i get a seriously clogged airbrush i tend to go with cellulose thinner and if that doesn't clear it, acetone.

Tamiya Primer rattle cans.....no fuss, no problems....its all in the finish

That's what I was using before, the grey, and couldn't agree more Chalky. But with my latest being covered with a light base coat I wanted to try a black primer which Tamiya don't do (I think).

Great to hear! It's a good generic acrylic paint cleaner/stripper and even though laquer thinner is a lovely product I still prefer denatured alchohol for it's almost non toxic properties.
