DIY Photo Booth from IKEA Laundry hampers.

Post by BrianI »

I found a link to someone converting a pair of IKEA SKUBB Laundry hampers into a DIY Photo booth.

So, here is my attempt at this.

First of all, obtain a pair of Skubb Laundry hampers from IKEA (and stock up on little pencils while you are at it... )

Cut the front & back panel from one hamper, and the back only from the other:

Assemble using clothes pegs, and a roll of white paper as a back drop:

And testing the booth:

Still some tidying up to do, and to tidy up the seams. But not bad for two £9 laundry hampers, and a hour or so work! :thumb1:

As an update I've still not finished it off as I found it a bit too wobbly for my liking. So onto plan B which may be one of those softbox studios from amazon

Lol, the whole lot ended up in the bin. The fabric tore as I was stitching It to the frame to make it a bit more rigid... so onto plan c

Awesome looks great, I know of a site Called Ikea Hackers.
http://www.ikeahackers.net

It's full of ideas & hacks for Ikea products, the lightbox is on it (link below) with loads of other stuff.
Think I will be giving this a go myself soon.
