Hasegawa 1:24 VW Type2 Delivery Van

Post by Zippo »

Finaly i got my self a VW van, wanted to build one of these for a long time.
Since a own a Aircooled VW and work at a VW dealer i got a idea in my head of a build.

Let start and see where it leads. :)

First the box, typical modelbox as i see it.

The Body, some inperfections but i manage.

Now to the rear, test fitting the axel and lower it, thats a must on an old V-dub. ;)

And droping the font to get the same cool factor. :)

Original asambly..

Modefyed fromt beam.

Droped asambly..

And the result.

Got sick over the weekend so i did not get the progress i wanted on this project, but got there is always some thing.

Coated evertything with primer and rust shades..

Put on some rust pigments on the rusted spots.

Some shades of blue after puting on some liquid mask on some rust spots.

Masked off som areas to get the replaced panel look. :P

Well.. Failur is allways an option.. the liquid mask took most of the rust effect with it and it made a huge dent in my ego.
So now i have to find a suluton to this and remember ti stick to the trysty salt method in the future. :P

Well not all is bad.
