Resurrecting an African Tiger

Post by AgentG »

With all the great builds of Tiger 131 popping up, I decided to resurrect an old stalled build of mine. I got this painted and started the initial stages of weathering about one year ago. A mishap with the Fruil tracks set me off and I shelved this until yesterday.

New Fruils , a new outlook and away we go.

The hand hold unique to 131.

I made the track cables and tow cables from copper wire. Eduard PE completed the look.

New shoes.

Paint is the Mike Starmer formula for RAL 8000. I used Tamiya OD and Khaki 50/50, lightened with Buff for RAL 7008.

Very nice. I love the tow cable. I think I may have to do something like that.

Thank you all!

This is essentially finished. I am preparing a suitable display base but I am in the middle of my work week. I'll have photos soon.
