Hello! New thread for my second King Tiger. :D Favorite tank ever. This particular kit comes with rubber band tracks in Dragon's DS Plastic. This supposedly makes them compatible with plastic cement unlike true rubber band tracks. I'll see how this works out; I may end up ordering Friulmodel tracks.

To begin, a shot of the box art and instructions! The instructions are actual paper and not colored like older Dragon kits. Not sure if I consider this an improvement or not.

Some work on the wheels; I have completed the idler wheels, drive sprockets, and most of the road wheels. I have five left. THIS time I won't glue them on before painting!

And the lower hull, with the zimmerit plate that you add onto the lower glacis. I have heard painting zimmerit-coated tanks is a daunting task, but I think I'm up to the challenge. :th:

As always, excellent detail from Dragon. I'll work on this some more when the decals are done on my other Tiger II. See you guys later; post your thoughts! :hi:

Got to agree with you mate, the Tiger II is a superb looking machine. I made this kit last year, its a beauty. Tamiya do a nice set of separate link tracks if you don't fancy the rubber band ones, that's the only extra I added.

Looking forward to seeing this come together :pop:
