Hello Guys

This is my entry to Steve "M" GB. I choose from my stash the Eduard Mig-21PFM. I will be doing this kit inbox markings from Polish Air Force
squadron. For this kit I will be using a lot of resin for cockpit, wheel bays and exhaust nozzle.
Here is the kit.

Hello

I'm not decide yet witch paint I will be using foir this kit. I have some AS-12 Tamiya silver and also Tamiya enamel paints for Silver and Matt Aluminium.
I have plan to use one of them I saw in the net that using this kind of paint you can get fantastic results but we will see.
Cheers

Hello Folks

First update on my build. I started from the interior bits like cockpit, wheel bays and exhaust nozzle. I cut all resin block from the parts and sand them to achieve proper fit.

Image

Then I started painting all part starting on the nozzle. Using various metal colors per instruction from Eduard I paint all the parts for nozzle assembly. Here it is after job completed.

Image

After gluing all together it looks like this. I think the resin bits have more details then plastic one so it worth upgrading the kit using them, even though the nozzle will be hardly visible after closing fuselage together.

Image

Next I painted all parts in the wheel bays using Gunze Interior Green color per instruction. The bays will be detailed and weathered after all.

Image

And last but not least the cockpit. Using AMMO Mig cockpit color I paint hole cockpit. This paint spray nicely after thinned them using Vallejo thinner. I will not used any PE parts so I don't worry about he color difference as Hans mention

Image

The fuselage interior were also painted using steel and these AMIG-223 INTERIOR TURQUOISE GREEN color

That's it for now.
Cheers

Hello Guys
First answering question about the metal color I used mix 50/50 of Gunze C8 Silver and C28 Steel color. The silver was to bright to recreate interior aluminium color so I added steel to tone this. Hope I answered your question arilo76.
So my yesterday update for Mig-21PFM. I panted all interior parts and then start pick up some details in the cockpit as well as in wheel bays. The intake cone was also painted using metal aluminium color for the start all over it then the front section was painted using bright green color from Gunze. For the hydraulic pipes in the wheel bays I used for the first time yellow paint from Life Color and I have to say that for brush painting it's very nice indeed. In the cockpit I painted control stick and dials using black ppaint and some switches in several color like red, white. All parts were dry-brushed using metal paint from Gunze Dark Iron. This is first stage of weathering for this, next will be enamel filter for the cokpit and enamel wash for wheel bays all from Mig AMMO.

Hello Folks

Next update on my build. Yesterday I finished basically assembling of the entire model. Main wheel bays fit into lower portion of the wing with no problem. Rest of the parts also fit superb and the gluing was real joy. No problem what so ever with the kit. Here is how it looks right now.

That's it for now I will stop working on it due to need of completing different project but I will be back

I love aircraft, but I know my limitations, And I'm no good at building them. But I love what's going on here. The details awesome. Can't wait to see it in its silver paint job. I just started using AK Xtreme metals and there freaking awesome. Anyway great build wally. :th: :th:
