I only became aware of Steve's channel through watching one of Coen's videos about a month ago and I checked him out, liked what I watched and subscribed.
So here's my entry.
To be honest I've been dying for a chance to build this for a while and should have done it for the Shiny SIG rather than my abortive P-38. I've heard lots of good things about this kit.
Decals look ok.
But I had these put aside for a rainy day. Nose art (especially involving the female form) is right up my street.
Obligatory Eduard mask. I have some wheels and exhausts on the way too.

Made a start on this today and the main cockpit was knocked up in no time. The moulded seat harnesses were a very pleasant surprise.
And then I put the cricket on the radio and got a bit carried away. I've started using a cheap hair dryer to speed up the painting progress and, before Pakistan had posted a mediocre score, I had got to this stage.
Not quite Tamiya levels as the fitting around the rear of the radiator trunking took some fettling. However, I'm really happy with the level of detail so far and no after market used just yet.
Wasn't long before I'd got the fuselage together. There's a lot of internals to squeeze in but it all fits pretty nicely.
I think the moulded seat harnesses look pretty good.
Can't see the instrument panel. I spent hours lovingly detailing that. Never mind. The moulding on the gunsight is a bit sloppy but I can only see that now through a zoom lens.
Those of you that are familiar with the kit may have noticed my idiot mistake a few pictures back. Nothing I can do about it now but there will be a challenge towards the very end of this build.

No need to worry on that score mate. I am not the world's fastest builder.
Would like to get it done (or close to being done) by October though as there is the F4 SIG kicking off and I still haven't made up my mind on which Phantom to do.
