Been having a ponder and i think if i manage to complete the bike build within five or six weeks i'll make a start on the mustang. The spit took me around twelve weeks which looks to be very similar to the p-51.

I'll be following this carefully :thumb1:

I'm getting the cockpit going now. Think once that is done, it'll be pretty quick.

Are you doing the engine ?
Most of the build threads i've looked at miss it out and just glue the covers down. I couldnt bring myself to do that, the cockpit and engine are the heart of the build !

Yes, already have it pretty much finished. I'll post my progress checks in a couple of hours. It's easier to finish when you just go out of the box!

Yeah, i think i'm done with AM parts, they just dont add enough to it for me with the time and money spent !

For me it depends on what it is. But I do like to use small gauge insulation and guitar wires for some engine/ landing gear detail stuff.

Exellent ! Na, i stand by 'storming' :thumb1: how are you doing it so quick ? That would take me two weeks to get to that point and i consider myself quite a quick builder as i'm not as fussy and i'll let some things slide that the other more serious modelers just wont !

very very inspiring though, keep up this pace and i have no doubt you will get the mossie done in time as well.

Could i make one suggestion though ? When taking pics, can you use a different background. I'm having trouble seeing your great work against all the colour of the paint jars and newspaper.

Good point, I'll find a blank background to use. I'm on vacation until Wednesday, and I've put in 6-10 hours a day on this thing for the last 3 days, hence the quick progress.

Thanks, wanted to get a head start during my vacation. So much new stuff coming up in the next 2 months (hobby, and video game), I may wind up getting a bit sidetracked down the road!

Thank you! It's a fantastic kit. I've had a bunch of these Tamiya 1/32 stored away for a few years now. I bought them when I was just coming back to the hobby after about 15 years away, and they kinda intimidated me when I looked at the kits (all that photo etch)! Now that I've been back at it, this group build seemed like the perfect time to break them out. It's been a beautiful build so far, couple of self-inflicted headaches slowed me down a bit, but the kit is flawless so far.
