So, I believe that everybody and his dog has built one of these? Well, woof!

I shall aim for second in this build with a combination of inexperience and distance photography as my main tools but nobody will have as much fun as I will over the next few months. So, onwards and sideways......

1. The box and its contents. I shall be building the version as depicted on the box art.

2. Deeeekaals.

3. Unopened sprue bags (oh the excitement).

4. The naked sprues (except for the small bag of rubber thingies - don't want to lose those).

5. And with instructions as well. Please be aware of the handwritten notes as dictated by that Paul bloke on the live prog!

6. There is no pic 6. My wife made me tidy up the breakfast bar just as I had detached the pilot figures, some cockpit bulkheads and both fuselage halves. I then read the instructions and discovered I still need 10 pots of Tamiya paint (list available on request) - and that's without the three I need to paint the outside of the thing!

Are you having fun yet?

Nice one Les but you know how I feel about anything non-aviation ;)

A small update on progress. Whilst I await a cheapo Litecraft headband magnifier on the slow boat from parts far east, I have taken to wearing TWO pairs of reading specs. Anyway, cockpit just about finished - some weathering still to do but coming along as they say. Took several hours to mask the canopy glass as I joined the hangout last night - that Preston lad needs to be shown the highlights (or lowlights) of Telford

Enjoying this build a lot as I think it's not just a model build but it's forcing me to evaluate every step and quite frequently go back and repair shoddy workmanship.

Onwards and sideways.....

Al
