Another Dragon Panther II project I'm working on. This one is meant to represent a factory fresh "early" model just leaving the factory. I plan to paint in RAL 7028 Dunkelgelb (dark yellow) and having the first of it's camouflage colors applied at the factory. Dragon kit 6027 built with Dragons Panther "F" turret (the new tooled one kit 6403), ABER Panther F/II PE, Aber 88mm metal barrel and will have Fruil KT Transport tracks. I won't have the skirts on as all I have are the Eduard skirts and the mounting slots are completely different from the Aber hanger spacing. Might make my own, who knows. Still have to add the exhaust too. Cast texture was added to the gun mantlet and bow mg mount as well as a weld seam from milliput. Foliage loops on the turret are copper wire and I scratch built the track hangers as the kit ones were horrible and the Aber ones are too short for the KT track and have the wrong spacing to fit the sprocket teeth holes. Notek light is from the Tamiya Panzer IV parts kit. It won't have any weathering beyond a very light brown wash to bring out the detail.

Got some color on her and have the base roughed out. For the base, I found a picture of a stained concrete floor online and printed it on photo paper. I glued to the wood base with white glue and will emboss the expansion seams and cracks later.

That's very nice looking! Smooth paint work. What did you use?

Tamiya XF60 (7 parts) + XF2 (3 parts) mixed about 1/3 paint to 2/3 iso and shot with a Paasche F with a fine needle at about 15 psi.

Looking great will be watching with interest.

Can't believe that the concrete floor is printed it looks so realistic! Keep up the awesome job

Hey! I must know, which set did you use for the side fenders which hold the side skirts? Which Aber set I mean? I ask because mine don't fit with another set of Aber skirts... I didn't get a full model set, just the skirts and side fenders.

Also it all looks FANTASTIC!

I didn't. I had Aber for the fenders and the kit but all I had for skirts were Eduard and they didn't fit at all. Odd Aber skirts didn't fit with their hangers. I'd think if you stayed with a single manufacturer, everything would line up. I have a couple of Dragon Panther F's in my stash I'd like to use Voyager set one, including side skirts.

You have done an excellent job of the tank and I like the cat on top.

Actually rereading your question and I used set 25010 for the Panther G/Jadgpanther. As Dragon didn't lengthen the hull, like they should have, the fit no problem but the Eduard skirts, which were for the Tamiya G, wouldn't fit with the hangers in the proper locations. You could just alter the hanger locations but then they don't line up with the bolt heads on the top of the fenders, if that matters to you. The Aber fenders just have a hole where the bolt heads are to go but those could be filled in and the bolt head glued on where ever the hangers end up having to go.

I see... What I was doing before I started working on a tank for my dad, I was removing the super glue from the hangers and tearing them off the fenders, then moving them to a proper location to fit the skirts I have. What I might end up doing is buying a different set of Aber's skirts for the same vehicle. See, they have two sets of side fenders and two sets of skirts, and my assumption is that I bought sets that don't match. All of them say Panther F and whatnot, but I think they have old sets and new sets. I bought the old skirts I think and new fenders.

Nice job, I see you cut the wheel arms.....does it say to in the manual? I have the same kit & just realized the wheels don't fit lol. Must be the medical weed.
