Tried to send private message to UKGUYUSA but was unable to do so.
I have several questions on Revell BF109G-10 Eria 1/32 scale.
Saw videos on build by UKGUYUSA. (Martin)
Questions:
1. Read on other forums etc., that the spinner, prop and manifold exhausts should be replaced with after market. Apparently the spinner has a recessed line around the middle which makes it difficult to apply the spinner decal, and is also not technically correct. Did you use any aftermarket
parts in your build?
2. I downloaded the build instructions. I read that in step #63 part #26 should not be placed behind the pilot as instructed because this would
cause a problem if the canopy is to be displayed in the open position. Is this correct?
3. I note in various photos that there is a part (a long rod), attached to the back of the canopy in the open position (apparently to hold it up).
I cannot find this part in the instructions. Was this part (long rod) scratch built?
4. The camo paint instructions for the top seem to be transposed. You mentioned that you used RLM75 (Grey-Violet) and RLM82 (bright green) for the top camouflage. It seems that when you match the color legend to the camo diagram the top camo is RLM74 (grey green) and RLM83 (dark green) which does not seem correct since it is difficult to distinguish the difference between these two colors. Was your selection based on your understanding of the camouflage on the E. Hartmann aircraft, or just your selection (which seems more correct than the instructions)?

I know your build was in July, 2015 and may not remember all the details. However, any help you can provide is appreciated. I also would welcome comments from anyone else who built this kit.
