I startet to build the engine up.
The "six speed" was supposed to have a decal on top, but I painted it up instead, uding some black wash.
Also all the metal parts have been painted up.
And finaly a bit of decal work on the way, in between micro sol aplications.

Looking good, really good

i'm hoping to start my own sometime november but i'll be keeping an eye on your build.
I like the idea of the black wash instead of the decal !

I know your a bit away from it but have you an idea about how to tackle painting of the wheels ? I have half an idea but it could be a risky move

The painting of the wheels and the chrome edge of the engine finning are the two most important and difficult areas of this kit.
Going well so far.

Yeah, the wheels were the part of the build i wasnt sure how to go about it. I had intended doing what you did, only with acrilyc paint. It's a pity tamiya didnt do the wheels in two parts.
nice clean build though, looking good

Looks fantastic, what a cool kit!!!!
That is a great save on the wheels if you had to strip and then refinish them....they look sweet

Very nice build super clean as a Harley alt to be certainly brings back some happy times, I was a road captain with the Surrey HOG chapter about 10 years ago and yes I miss it every day

. Very well done
