Tamiya-1-35 Carro Armato-M13-40

Post by rwsmith14 »

My entry into this GB is the/tamiya-1-35 Carro-Amato M-13-40 Italian Medium Tank. present plans are to build the Captured Australian vehcle. That's the whole reason I bought the kit Just love the Kangaroo decals.. we shall see.. the figures look quite good. so Italian it might be.. decisions, decisions, decisions !!

just 90 mins of work:

this kit is just falling together, like most tamiya kits. it comes with a metal barrel and a small PE fret but it's not referenced in the instructions.. the length and link track links are not bad.. they look good and go together easily. I willl not permently attach the upper and lower hulls unitl after the painting stages to allow me to paint the tracks without any interrence

Update on the M13/40 after reading more on the Australian use of this vehicle , when captured from the Italians they were actually green so I over sprayed it in RAL7008 to give it a green hue . Gave it another wash and "chipped " it. Next up will be to give it a desert dust appearance . Painted the base still need to get the right color of sand down not happy with it right now
