Cut finger

Here's what a cut finger looks like. This was done some time ago, it was just a tiny slip with a Stanley blade, you know the type it didn't even warrant a plaster, I just pressed it together until it stopped bleeding.

The pic was taken with just a small, cheap, around $15 or 8 quid, USB microscope.

I do just want to reiterate that this was just a tiny nick which I'm sure each and everyone of us has had, especiallally modellers, and hasn't even left a slightest scar. The USB microscope I used can go up to 800x magnification, although that's nowhere near that.

Sounds like a very cool piece of kit. I still had trouble keeping my coffee down though! The image quality was superb.

I bought some aftermarket tracks for a recent Tiger build - working on the wire inserts I turned myself into a proper pin cushion over the course of completing all the links

Now that looks absolutely gruesome thru the microscope. nothing wrong with a bit of blood and guts on a modeling forum. Like we never cut ourselves by accident

Scooters Emergency Room.

These instructions apply to all modelling cuts unless there is amputation involved.

1) Use some Tamiya thinner (alcohol) to clean the wound.
2) Press the edges of the wound together, apply super glue along the line and hold until it sets.
3) Use some Tamiya tape to make a butterfly plaster.
4) If it hurts too much drink some of the solution in step 1).
5) Use the time you saved not going to the ER watching ISM videos on YouTube.

My wife sliced open her finger while chopping, though not quite as bad as privatepete's post. It was a deep, painful and very blood gushing wound. We were about to head to the ER for stitches, but had some stuff on hand, I believe it was called Blood Stop or something similar. It's a gauze type material that turns into a gel upon contact with blood and seals the wound. It worked like a charm - she doesn't even have a scar and no ER visit necessary. We've kept a pack at home and in our cars ever since. Link below, though not sure if it will work.

Love a good acronym me, the saucier the better - ooh err Missus (British humour there) NORWICH is my favourite but I haven't had occasion to use it yet

Have to confess I'm slow on the uptake when a new one comes along. I watched US cop shows for years wondering what a BOLO and an APB were

As the saying goes, if brains were dynamite, I'd struggle to blow my nose
