Lifecolor clear coats

I see Lifecolor do a Matt/Satin/Gloss clear coat pretty cheap, anyone used them? Any good? I've never used any of their products.

While I'm at it what are their paints like? They seem to have some good sets, but that would depend on the quality of the paints themselves.

I like them, brush OK. You get some tip dry when airbrushing. I add some retarder to help with this. Seem to have a reasonable shelf life, I have never tossed any out and have had mine about 4 yrs.

I've used a few of their paint sets but not the clears.

Some of the paints are great - I love the rust set, but some of them are really, really thin and don't cover well even after several coats have been applied. I've found the yellow/sand colours to be particularly troublesome.

Very good pigment strength. The rust sets are probably the best. You have to use these in
Thin layers and build up but I think they are a great addition.

Addition for airbrush or the old hairy stick?

I'm pretty covered on the rust front. I have the Mig set which I've found good but am now using oils which I really like.

Think you can do both but I tend to hairy stick them just takes lots of layers.
