Meng Models King Tiger - King of Kings

Post by Stokesy44 »

Just seen this after following the E-models advert link. Looks an absolute beauty and a steal at £31.99

http://www.intscalemodeller.com/viewtop ... 18&t=20008

The picture gallery of CAD images is jaw-droppingly good.
Its been tried and tested, it works! So don't blame the system if you're no good.

The word literally is overused. Lets just say I was virtually drooling when I was looking at it. And the price! Hawt diggedy damn!

I am glad I didn't cave in and get the Takom one for double the price. :) Amazing detail and nice touches like workable suspension, separate ammunition for easier painting and a jig for the engine mesh. Lovely!

:cheers2:

To bad or hasn't got a full interior like the Takom does.
As you can see here

The interior is a separate set so it might still become more expensive then the Takom KT which costs € 50 or £44 ( give or take on the £ do to the exchange rate)

That explains the price. That's cheeky from E-models. Nowhere on their advert does it say the CAD pictures relate to a set sold separately. Now I'm glad I didn't pre-order it.

Not impressed, if I knew who my MP was I would write a letter!

EDIT - I emailed E-models and had a very nice reply stating it was an oversight. They are now in the process of adding a note to the kit advert stating the interior and workable tracks will soon be available separately. Very impressed. :th:

I don't need the interior so it's a cheap kit that's going to have a decent amount of detail with out the dragon type price so I'm still happy ( I might ask the wife to buy it for me for Christmas ).

Apparently they were used on the real thing and were then specially shrunk for the kit

The tracks look pretty good if they have any weight to them as they have metal pins on both sides of the tracks so they won't fall apart and it looks like they won't need glue to keep them in and if there is no clean up on them as well then that would be pretty good as well.
