Airfix 1:72 Dambuster Giftset (A50061)

Started to build the old tool giftset to commemorate 70 years of operation Chastise in May,



This is the set that also contains a facsimile of the dam.



Steady progress was made in May and the plane went together quite well





And then the rear of the front turret fell off into the planes insides and I got a little downhearted with the project and worked on other things instead.

However after giving myself a quick KUTA the other week I dug it out and started on it again. It is now camoflaged (brushed with Humbrol enamels) gloss varnished and decals have started to be applied.

I just picked up the Airfix magazine issue that had a big article about the dam busters and I think that they featured a kit just like this one.
How did you fish out the fallen turret? Or is it lost forevermore?
