Macedonian Hetairos of Alexander the Great

As you might know already i have a thing for cavalry, so i often paint figures of this topic. This time its a white metal figure from Tartar Miniatures in 54mm scale showing a "Hetairos" (companion cavalryman) of Alexander the Great.
The assembly was not very difficult, some filler was needed here and there on the horse but thats quite normal. There are always some fitting issues on white metal figures.
I painted the figure with acrylic paints from Revell and Lifecolor. For the shading i used oil paints.
The Leopard skin was a challenge on its own, first i painted it with Sand brown and white colour using the "wet in wet" brushing technique. After a couple of light and dark brown washes i painted on the dots. They were difficult to do in particular, as their shape is not always round but sometimes circular or half-circular and very irregular.
A small base was included, but as always i incorporated it into my own little diorama/base.
Nothing exceptional, it just shows the dusty plain of Issos or Gaugamela where Alexanders major battles took place.
