My first entry and prizes in competition in a Model show - Model Maia 2016

[rodrant]

Hi ,

I decided to post here to show you guys how incredible it was to me to enter in my Local Town Model Show , Model Maia 2016 (Portugal) , Last year I participate in exibition , and was 'conviced' by my LHS owner to participate in competition this year !
I was reluctant as I model for myself to be honest , and I have so much fun in modelling , and remember that about 3/4 years ago I remember to watch in You Tube videos from Gary Bottoms and that Paul Bertrand Videos on the Corsair BirdCage 1/32 , that make me buy the plane ( Still is in stash for build ... ) so and after still following Paul's videos and to see ISM Forum , Mike Coen videos , also Hamilkar Barkas and a lot more , decided to join this great Forum , I only built the usual , when as child Airfix and Matchbox kits to play with , and later some 1/24 rallye cars , I Start making some planes , 1/72 ...1/48 , then entries in ISM GB's and SiG's and a lot of variety in modelling ...Tanks ...dio's and so on ...and last weekend I made an entry in my Local Town Model Show and enter competition , with ( I assure) not many objectives or expectations in getting prizes, as it is a very high level Model show , well for my surprise and because I get to do a lot of stuff , I get 5 Medals ! , I really have to share with this great comunity and forum , as it was here that I have evolved my skils , with the tips of all modellers , watching all Sig and GB's , with all the tips , so This prizes is also yours ! I was very happy of course , and make me eager to build more stuff and trying to improve ! So Thank you ISM !

The medals were

1 Gold Medal for my Bust 'Polish Lithuanian Winged Hussard ' and a Silver Medal for my 'Roman Legionaire Dacian Wars'

A Silver medal for my ''Here come the Russians - Berlin 1945'

The medal

The Diorama in the Show room :

A Silver Medal for my Vignette of the somua S35

And a Bronze medal for my IL2 Sturmovick

Again , I thank you all guys that participate in this Great Forum ! All you made this possible !
