Hi,
The Kawasaki Ki-78 (Ken or Ken III or Kensan III) was a high-speed research aircraft developed to investigate laminar profile wings with high wing loadings. First prototype was build in 1941 and the project was officially terminated after the 32nd flight on 11 January 1944. The second Ki-78 was never completed.
About the model. Classic Czech short-run kit – those who have ever built AZ kits will understand. Not an easy kit of course. But it’s always interesting to have some unusual subject among my Spitfires and 109’s. Mainly OOB, except main wheel bay doors made from scratch. Painted with Gunze H acrylics, weathered with oils and pigments.
Thanks!
