Jagdtiger Tracks?

Hello! I bought the Dragon 1/35 Henschel Jagdtiger at a convention for a low price at the cost of the magic tracks being missing.

Would these suffice as a proper replacement?

Hi John

You need to check which type of drive sprockets the kit comes with. The 9 tooth sprockets will need the 2 piece tracks, the 18 tooth sprockets will need the 1 piece tracks. The product you have linked to are 1 piece jobs.

Also, the JT was about a foot longer than the standard Tiger II, resulting in a gap between the idler and the rearmost road wheel. I don't know if it makes a difference to the number of links that make up the tracks or not. I think (but I'm no expert) that you would need 2/3 additional links per side as a result of the elongated chassis. That shouldn't be a problem as most plastic link sets tend to give you a few extras.

I checked and the kit comes with the 9-tooth sprocket
I'm modeling on a budget, so I can't afford Fruils or Modelkasten.
The Tamiya King Tiger track set 35165 matches with the track I'm looking for but I have no idea if they'll fit properly on the Dragon sprocket or if it will provide enough links

A cheapish way to get the tracks would be to buy the Zvezda Tiger 2, kit number 3601 as that is a reboxed dragon kit ( 6208 ) that has the two piece tracks for the 9 tooth sprocket wheels, it should cost around $40usd but I don't know if there is enough parts to make the tracks for the jadgtiger as I think it is one track link short per sprue.

They definitely fit a Dragon Tiger II because I put a set on mine last year. I don't remember if there were any spares left over though, sorry.
