Revell 1-32 Mosquito

Post by BPC »

1.Revell Mosquito- 1/32 scale. Started the build in May, finally completed in November. Enjoyable build, no fit issues, no missing parts.

2.Instrument panel, dials coated with varnish to give a glass effect.

4.No Pre-shading this time, tried out panel fading.

6. Not to happy with the camo, lots of bleeding under the masking tape. Thanks to Ted of Emodels, I tried out his camo technique of using French curves, I found this method less troublesome than masking off, softer finish. This method also helped during the panel fading.

7..The invasion stripes were a pain, taped them off, I measured them, they just did not look in proportion. I eventually got them to look OK.

8..Under wing lights, used aluminium foil for the reflectors, catches the light a lot better than painting silver.

16.Restored raised panel line where it was sanded away to remove seam, used thin copper wire, formed the shape of the panel line and glued it down with cyno. Raised rivets restored by applying plastic putty with a tooth pick.
