Inspired by Paul's DIY Photo Booth:

and my previous attempt ending in failure:

Here is my MK2 build, along the lines of Paul's.

Materials:

Half dozen A1 sheets of white foam core,
A1 card for backdrop.
Two 2ft fluorescent battens with tubes (I'll change them for daylight tubes as the current tubes are only 4000K)

I was originally going to go for a solid top, then I though it'd be a good idea to be able to shoot from above, so I cut a section out, and reinforced it, then fitted and wired up lights:

Even has it's own on/off switch! :th:

Now to figure out how to attach the rest of the panels, but still allow it to be foldable for storage.

I also need to think how I'm going to achieve side fill lights.

Should I cut squares out from the side panels, add some thin material to diffuse light from my pair of anglepoise lights which I have at either end of my desk.. Or would adding some LED strip lights be better.:

Finished!!

In the end I opted for side windows to allow for diffused light using desk lamps, and I added "walls" to the base and lid to allow the side and rear panels to be slid in and out for easy storage.

And Shaun the Sheep testing it out!
